Hakan Ozalp

Hakan Ozalp is Assistant Professor of Strategy at Amsterdam Business School, University of Amsterdam. Hakan holds a PhD in Business Administration and Management and MSc in Economics and Management of Innovation and Technology from Bocconi University, and my BSc in Management Engineering from Istanbul Technical University. He previously held positions at VU Amsterdam, LMU Munich and Leeds University Business School. His research focuses on the evolution, innovation, and competition within and across platform ecosystems. His academic research has focused on the video game industry over 10 years. His research has appeared in leading academic journals in the domains of strategic management, innovation management, and information systems. These include Strategic Management Journal, Information Systems Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Industrial and Corporate Change, California Management Review, and MIS Quarterly Executive. Hakan taught and coordinated various courses on innovation, strategy, and research methods.
